Completed the fifth stage of the 104th 
version of the legendary French race.
Today’s stage with summit finish of the first category La planche de Belle Filles provided generalstab first serious base for mountain warfare.
The breakaway of the day going famous company – the former owner of yellow Jersey Thomas Vauclair, winner of the Giro, Thomas De Gendt, 8-time winner of various stages of the Grand Tour Philippe Gilbert, Norwegian touring Boasson Edvald Hagen, and others.
The group of fugitives peacefully existed until the foot of the main mountains of the day. By the time the main group behind the breakaway just a minute and a half. For four kilometres the gap was finally broken last surrendered two Belgian Gilbert and Lakeland.

Tomorrow the Tour de France 216-kilometer stage with start and finish Vesoul in Troyes. On the way to the flat finish of the race, participants will overcome two mountains of the fourth category.
