The Times: Russian hackers involved in attacks in Ireland

Hackers suspected of having links with the Russian GRU.

In Ireland the attack of the hackers allegedly involved with the secret services of Russia, has been the Council’s electricity supply.

“Hackers, which are believed to be associated with the Russian government attacked the energy sector of Ireland,” the statement reads.

It is worth noting that the attack occurred in mid-June sent the staff a message with malware, but it has become aware of only now.
