The tendril decision passed hunter and defended the title of world champion

Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik in Oxon hill (Maryland) for the second time defended the title of world champion in heavy weight under version WBO.

For the second time in his career Usyk fought a boxer with no single defeat. Michael hunter had a decent resistance to the champion and became for Ukrainians the most serious challenge to a Pro-ring.

The tendril deliberately gave the starting rounds, peering into the opponent. Only in the fourth round, Alexander moved to action, gradually starting to understand the style hunter, which is due to the good work the jab and decent speed on his legs has won three of the debut round.

Closer to the middle of the battle, the Tendril began increasingly to get there, and the hunter after the opening spurt switched to economy mode. The champion took one round, the Challenger was gradually snickety that was expected, because before the championship fight, the Americans never held more than 10 rounds.

In the championship rounds Usyk repeatedly was close to an early victory. The climax of the battle happened in the 12th round of the hunter miraculously stood on his feet, but still forced the referee in the ring to count a standing knockdown. The Tendril until the last beat of the applicant, but was not able to knock him out.

By unanimous decision (117-110 three times) Alexander Usik defended the WBO title and confirmed his status as the best boxer in the division.
