The subsidy for the year decreased almost two times

Ukrainians are more likely to apply for grants.

In January-October 2017 for subsidies for reimbursement for housing and communal services requested 7.7 million households, which was 33.5% more than in January-October of 2016. The size of the subsidies has decreased by almost half.

This is evidenced by the State statistics service of Ukraine (gosstat).

With the beginning of the year of subsidy of 8.2 million households. Compared to the corresponding period in 2016, the number of such households increased by 44.8%.

In October 2017, subsidies for reimbursement for housing and communal services received 6 million of households (40.3 per cent of the total number of households in the country), of which 38.5 percent consisted of one person, 28.3 per cent of the two, and the rest – of three or more people.

The total amount of grants to households, in January-October of 2017 was 3.5 billion UAH in comparison with 3.2 billion in the corresponding period of 2016.

The average size of subsidy per household decreased in October compared with the corresponding period last year by 39.7% and amounted to UAH 341,6.

We will remind that the Cabinet of Ministers had previously approved the introduction of the monetization of subsidies from 1 January 2018.
