The state of the world’s millionaires reached a record high

In the United States, Germany, Japan and China by the end of 2017 lived 61.2% of all dollar millionaires in the world.

The aggregate wealth of all dollar millionaires in the world grew by 10.6% in 2017 and for the first time exceeded $70 trillion. It is reported by the international consulting company Capgemini SA.

According to the annual report World Wealth Report, the number of wealthy individuals (high-net-worth individual, HNWI) increased by 1.6 million people last year, three quarters of new millionaires had in North America and the Asia-Pacific region (APR).

The number of people invested assets which are estimated at least $1 million excluding primary place of residence in North America is 5.66 million HNWI in Europe – 4,83 million in the APR of 6.18 million in the middle East – 660 thousand, in Latin America – 600 thousand, in Africa, 170 thousand

The combined wealth of the millionaires grew last year in all regions of the world, the maximum growth was recorded in Asia Pacific by 14.8%, followed by North America – 10.3%.

The state of Asian rich is thought to be about $21,59 trillion, North America – $19, and 79 trillion, and European – $15,85 trillion.

Almost a third of the state’s richest citizens of the world kept in stock (30,9%), slightly less in cash and cash equivalents (27,2%), real estate account for 16.8%.

By 2025, the state of the world’s millionaires could rise to $100 trillion, predicts Capgemini. This is almost three times higher than the figure recorded for 2006.

World Wealth Report uses data from 71 countries accounting for 98% of global gross national income and 99% of the capitalization of global stock markets.
