The state Duma of Russia accused the law on education in Ukraine in the ethnocide of the Russians.
The Russian state Duma has prepared a statement to the UN because “the ethnocide of Russian people”. The corresponding statement the Russian Parliament adopted at the meeting on Wednesday, September 27.
Such reaction of Russia was followed by Ukraine adopted the law On education.
“Signed by the President of Ukraine, the education Act will be an act of ethnocide Russian people in Ukraine”, – said in a statement.
In Russia believe that the education act violates the basic standards of the UN and the Council of Europe Convention on the protection of the linguistic identity of indigenous peoples and national minorities, as enshrined in international treaties ratified by Ukraine.
The document States that in 2020 the education system will be fully in Ukrainian, which will lead to the disappearance of Russian-language schools and classes and schools for national minorities.
It is noted that the application will be sent to the UN, the inter-parliamentary Union, Interparliamentary Assembly of States – participants of the CIS, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of collective security Treaty (CSTO PA), the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA), Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Secretary General of the Council of Europe, parliaments of the European States.
