The President of Moldova called Transnistria enterprises.
The President of Moldova Igor Dodon has named three conditions for reunification with Transnistria.
“How can I solve the Transnistrian question? First, and this should be the basis is Pro-Moldova parliamentary majority that does not in NATO, not in favour of unification of Moldova with Romania. Such a power may appear at the end of 2018 – after the parliamentary elections”, Dodon said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The second condition of the enterprises, the leader of Moldova called the agreement with Tiraspol on the establishment of the country’s total.
“It is very difficult. Different generation, different system of government, different tax system. This is not a year of work and not two,” said Igor Dodon.
The third condition he called a “geopolitical window” in relations between Russia and the West.
According to Dodon, in the optimistic scenario, integration may occur in 2019-2020. “It would be ideal to hold a presidential election in 2020 in the United state”, – said the President of Moldova.
Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, an unrecognized state on the left Bank of the Dniester river. Chisinau considers Transnistria part of Moldova, but does not control the territory of the Republic.
Most of the population of the unrecognized state consists of Moldovans, Russians and Ukrainians. The proportion of each ethnic group is about 30 percent, the languages of all three peoples recognized by the state.
