MOSCOW, 13 Jan — RIA Novosti. Female Russian national team on biathlon has won gold in the 4×6 km relay at the fourth stage of the world Cup in Oberhof.
Russians Evgeniya Pavlova, Margarita Vasilyeva, Larisa Kuklina and Ekaterina Yurlova-Pert avoided penalties and eight spare rounds. They finished with a time of one hour 18 minutes of 46.3 seconds.
Second place went to team Germany (Germany’s Karolin Horchler, Franziska Hildebrand, Franziska Preuss and Denise Herrmann, 2 penalties and 10 spare rounds), losing to the Russians 33.5 seconds, rounded out the top three winners the Czech Republic (Lucius Horvathova, Veronika Vitkova, of David, and Market horchler Karolin, 1+6, the gap to 36.7 seconds).
The last time the Russian women’s team won the relay at the world Cup in 2012: then the Russians also won the world Cup in Oberhof.
Later on Sunday in Oberhof will host the men’s relay race.
