The government of Moldova at the meeting on Wednesday, March 1, decided to withdraw its Ambassador from Russia Dmitry Braghis.
The initiative to recall the Ambassador was presented by the Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs and European integration of Moldova Daniela Morari. The official did not explain why such decision was made.
In comments to TASS, Deputy foreign Minister Grigory Karasin, said that the decision to recall the Ambassador of Moldova was a surprise for Moscow: “This news is somewhat unexpected. Probably, the reasons of such decision it is necessary to ask in Chisinau”.
Dmitry Braghis was appointed Ambassador of Moldova to Russia on November 27, 2015. Braghis was Prime Minister of Moldova in 1999-2001
