The UN international court in the Hague found the requirements of Ukraine regarding interim measures against Russia by the International Convention for the suppression of the financing of terrorism (MBFT) “baseless”, said the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
“The court, without a vote, acknowledged that the claims of Ukraine to Russia in MBFT unfounded and, accordingly, the conditions for imposing provisional measures are not available,” – said in a statement the Russian foreign Ministry, published on the official page of the office Facebook.
The Russian foreign Ministry also stressed that the court in the Hague did not support the Declaration of Ukraine on the status of Crimea and “found it irrelevant to the essence of the proceedings.”
“It is important that the court took a principled stand and did not support the Declaration of Ukraine on the alleged “aggression”, “occupation” or on the status of Crimea as not related to the essence of the proceedings,” – said in a statement the foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation.
