The Russian delegates did not listen to the speech of Dalia Grybauskaite.
The Russian delegation at the UN General Assembly left the hall before the speech of the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite.
This information was confirmed by a member of the Russian delegation, Chairman of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky.
Earlier, Grybauskaite has complained to the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the Russian-Belarusian exercises Zapad-2017, which, in her opinion, simulate a real conflict with NATO countries.
Military exercises Zapad-2017 are from 14 to 20 September at nine landfills in Belarus and Russia. They are 7.2 thousand Belarusian soldiers and about 5.5 thousand Russian, 70 aircraft and helicopters, and 680 pieces of equipment.
As reported, Grybauskaite called the main threat to the Baltic countries and Poland “the existence of Russia and Belarus in the East.”
