Renowned artist and cartoonist Sergei Elkin in a befitting manner reacted to the idea of a return to the Russian Imperial anthem “God save the Tsar”.
In particular, in a network there was a vivid caricature of Elkin.
It depicts two members, which are near the fire. Thus the artist depicted the difficult times in modern Russia, when there are actually many important unsolved public issues. The deputies suggest not to “extinguish the fire”, but simply to change the anthem.
