Domestic Railways company, the monopolist in the Russian market of railway transportation, is working on unmanned trains and even attracts third-party companies. Already published the terms of the relevant tender, but all this is not Russia, but only of the capital of our Motherland.
According to available information, the money of taxpayers from all over Russia will go to the development of management systems for trains without a driver only at the Moscow Central ring and the Moscow railway. The value of contracts totaled 318 million rubles, and set a deadline no later than 31 December 2019, that is, contractors will be approximately 2.5 years to master budget and issue system, which will drag on the rails the old Soviet cars, painted a fresh gray paint.
In addition, Russian Railways is working to create the remote control circuit of the locomotive — with its help, the driver will be able, as a child, playing in the railroad at a distance and to manage multiple squads.
