“In the Ukrainian situation, there really is great potential for peacekeepers. We look forward to the discussions over the next weeks and months about how to achieve de-escalate the situation, to stop the violence and give people the opportunity to live a peaceful and safe life with respect for the principles of international law, Russia has violated his illegal actions, ” said Trudeau.
He added that Canada is actively reviewing its role in peacekeeping and looking for ways to be as useful in the world. “Canada deeply believes in the system of UN peacekeeping.
