The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has appointed Viktor Kryzhanovsky special representative of Ukraine on Transnistrian settlement.
“To replace article 2 of the presidential decree of 16 September 2005 No. 1279 “On the special representative of Ukraine on Transnistrian settlement” (as amended by decrees of March 30, 2006 No. 267 of August 9, 2008 No. 699, dated July 6, 2010 No. 759, dated September 16, 2010 № 905 dated 4 April 2014 No. 375) to appoint Kryzhanivskyi, Viktor Vladimirovich special representative of Ukraine on Transnistrian settlement”, – stated in the decree No. 229/2017 of August 21, 2017, published on the website of the President.
Viktor Kryzhanovsky has held the position of special representative for the Transnistrian settlement in 2008-2010, in 2010-2017 years was the Ambassador of Ukraine in Estonia. Works at diplomatic service since 1992.
Earlier it was reported that on may 31 at the Ukrainian-Moldovan border started a General checkpoint of Ukraine and Moldova “Kuchurgan-Pervomaysk”, which borders the separatist region of Transnistria.
We will remind, on may 20, Ukraine shall release the goods in Transnistria through its territory only by agreement with the national Agency for food safety Moldova.
Such conditions handling of goods is defined in the Agreement on cooperation in the field of veterinary of CIS countries. But it does not concern relations with the unrecognized “Transnistrian Moldovan Republic”.
