The Pope on Christmas eve called for the release of all hostages

Pope Francis, Christmas eve December 24, addressed to the citizens of the world and called for the release of all abducted people and prisoners, including priests, monks and laity

According to Pope, he especially prays for those suffering from wars.

“I renew my appeal that on the occasion of Christmas the kidnapped men were priests, monks and nuns, laymen were released and could return to their homes”, — said the Primate.

Welcoming the numerous pilgrims, who arrived at St. Peter’s square, he wished them to watch before Christmas to find the time to silently pray and think about Jesus.
