The poles want to know what actually occurred at the border of the two powers.
The Polish foreign Ministry had summoned the Ambassador of Ukraine in Poland for explanations on the “case of Saakashvili.”
This was stated by MEP Jacek Saryusz-Wolski in comments to the Polish media.
He said that, in his opinion, the Ukrainian government had no legal grounds to ban entry into Ukraine Saakashvili.
“We believe that it would be contrary to all European standards, which pledged to respect Ukraine accordingly the Association agreement with the EU,” – said Saryusz-Wolski.
The MEP has called the actions of the Ukrainian authorities uncivilized and promised to raise this issue at the next meeting of the European Parliament.
