Citizens appealed to city hall with the idea to install in the center of the capital is eaten Didukh.
The petition was on the website of the Kyiv city Council.
“Tree – a tree that is set during the Christmas holidays Northern and Western peoples. But for modern Ukrainians tree is a common tree that does not bear a festive “load” on Christmas,” according to the petition.
The petitioner also claims that the ancestors of the Ukrainians on Christmas Sun, December 21-22, always solemnly made to the house Didukh – a sheaf associated spikelets of cereals, which symbolized the spirit of the ancestors.
Recall that the petition was considered by Council, it must gain 10,000 votes within 90 days.
