It is proposed to amend the Law “On the National police” in terms of empowerment
Natspolitsiya will be able to withdraw uncleared cars with foreign number who violate the law. Such are the powers of law enforcement officers will appear in the case of adoption of bill No. 6626.
Regulatory act proposes to amend the Law “On the National police” in terms of empowerment. Its authors were made by MPs Anton Geraschenko, Lyudmila Denisova, Anna Efremova and Igor Kotvitsky.
First of all, the bill gives the national police additional powers in relation to cars with foreign number. Law enforcement officers can stop and detain uncleared cars on foreign registration in the cases prescribed by law.
The reason for the detention of the vehicle can now be information from the bodies of income and fees. In practice, this means that the police can seize uncleared vehicle which has expired legal stay on the territory of Ukraine.
In addition, the draft law proposes to allow the national police to create their own database of auto foreign numbers residing in the territory of Ukraine. The authors of the document believe that it will strengthen the monitoring of uncleared cars.
The bill also proposes to expand the list of places of patrol police – adds the road network and the motorway. This innovation is likely written specifically for the new Traffic police.
