In Ukraine still there is a group of oligarchs who are trying to resist the reform process. This was stated by the head of the EU delegation in Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli.
“The power of the oligarchs can not be stronger than three years ago, but, nevertheless, they daily confront the reform process. They are trying to undermine it in all sectors. Every time accept the reform decision in a few weeks is an attempt of these reforms to dilute,” said the diplomat during a conference in Kiev.
Mingarelli stressed that the cases of conflict between changes in Ukraine are not isolated.
“Every day we see the struggle between reformers in government, in civil society and those who are trying by any means to maintain their status quo. And this struggle is far from over,” he stressed.
According to the diplomat, it is necessary that those, “who in the past stole” be punished through fair trial” to the Ukrainian society to support the reforms and “believe in justice”.
