The official release date of season 11 of “the x-files”!

Earlier we were told that Mulder and Scully will return in early 2018, but the exact date and time was called. Now, FOX has rolled out an official announcement, and the uncertainty left behind.

We will remind, the eleventh season of “Secret materials” will consist of ten episodes: eight of them will be the separate “monsters of the week”, while “the main mythology” will only take two series. Initially Chris Carter expressed a desire to make this season much longer, but due to busy schedules Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny decided to stop in a dozen episodes.

Shooting started on the 8th of August this year in Vancouver and will last until December 21. It is known that the caste of the show is joined by newcomers Barbara Hershey (“Astral”), Haley Joel Osment (“the Sixth sense”) and Brian Husky (the Preacher). However, the elderly also go into battle: William B. Davis (the Smoker), Annabeth Gish (agent Monica Flight) and Mitch Pileggi (assistant Director of the FBI Walter Skinner) will reappear on the screen. By the way, judging by a recent promo video, Skinner loses the trust of Mulder and Scully. Yes, again.

Another amazing comeback in the show will appear again Karin Konoval from the episode “Home,” in which she played a terrible mother of a family of cannibal freaks. She’s glimpsed in the trailer, by the way.

So, the 11th season of “the x-files” kicks off on FOX January 3, 2018.
