By the end of last year the number of Russians with HIV has exceeded 1 million people. It is reported by RBC with reference to a certificate, prepared by the Federal research and methodological center for prevention and control of AIDS epidemiology.
“By the end of 2018, the country’s population of 1 007 369 Russians diagnosed with HIV infection, 318 870 excluding deceased patients”, the document States.
According to the center, at the end of December died on 24% of all registered HIV infected Russians. The main reason for tuberculosis.
