The horror fans don’t recall, but in any case, the recognition of mainstreamish media is expensive. Journal of the New York Times and Floria Sigismondi launched a cool art project that includes a series of postawionych photos and atmosfernaya horror short films featuring prominent Hollywood celebrities to pay tribute to the horror genre. This project is called “Year of terror” (The Year of Horror).
Here is what they write on the NYT site:
Horror movies dominated the cultural field this year. From the unexpected hit “Off” to the film adaptation of “It” and youth “Happy death day”, scary movies an unusually long time held mass imagination in 2017. Maybe it’s because the reality was very terrifying too.
For your project, the NYT managed to get such actors as Nicole Kidman, Jake Gyllenhaal, saoirse Ronan, Andy Serkis and Daniel Kalwa. Just ten eminent artists, each of whom appeared in a specific way typical of a genre film: obsessed, insane, clown (Oh yeah!), a vampire etc etc.. it was really cool, as you can see in the below photo.
