The novelty debuted in Austria at the annual Worthersee festival.
Audi this summer will bring to market a new modification of the hatchback A5 Sportback – with a motor that can run either on gasoline or on natural gas.
The novelty will be the third dual-fuel car of German brand, after appropriate versions of the A3 Sportback and the A4 Avant.
Audi A5 Sportback G-Tron is equipped with two-liter engine, developing 170 HP and 270 Nm of torque. The engine of the first instance combined with a seven-step “robot” S tronic, but Audi noted that the serial car will also be available manual transmission.
The novelty is able to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and its maximum speed was 226 km/h.
In gas mode the car can travel up to 500 kilometers. When gas will remain less than 0.6 kg, the electronics will automatically switch the engine on gasoline consumption, which will allow you to drive another 450 miles. Thus, the maximum speed of Audi A5 Sportback G-Tron was 950 kilometers.
