Today, 5 may, the anniversary of the victorious battle of the Ukrainian military (the national guard, the armed forces and the security service) against the Russian hybrid army under the leadership of ex-terrorist Igor Girkin from the village Semenovka in the Donbass, published a 26-minute film “Semenivka. 5 may”. Videos submitted on the YouTube channel of the national guard.
The film is based on stories of eyewitnesses and participants of the battle, commandos of omega squad and the national guard commander, Colonel-General Yuri Allenova, who led the operation, with the participation of about 90 military. On the reconstruction of the events of 2014 also the team worked on Mainstream Pictures, with the support of MIP.
“Brilliant operation of the Ukrainian military have not only preserved the lives of innocent people, but dislodged the enemy from positions”, – is told in the message.
It is noted that “the Ukrainian military saved the lives of dozens of civilians” who were then besieged in Semenovka.
In the battle killed three Ukrainian soldiers and eight were injured. The militants are incommensurable losses – more than 40 dead and 200 wounded. Then Girkin and his troops retreated to the industrial area of Slavyansk.
