Four countries from 31 August to 17 September, will take the 40th European championship on basketball among men.
In the final stage of the Eurobasket will perform 24 strongest teams of the continent, divided into four groups. At the end of the group round in the fight for the title will remain 16 teams that will form the mesh of the playoffs starting from 1/8 finals.
The main favorites of the championship are considered to be the current winners of the tournament, team Spain head coach Sergio Scariolo in the Eurobasket will be able to count on star Gasol brothers, Ricky Rubio, Sergio Rodriguez, Juan Carlos Navarro, and other experienced players.
Other teams were not able to avoid staffing problems. Group (Tel Aviv): Ukraine, Israel, Lithuania, Georgia, Italy, Germany.
Group (Cluj): Croatia, Czech Republic, Spain, Montenegro, Romania, Hungary.
Group D (Istanbul): Great Britain, Russia, Serbia, Latvia, Turkey, Belgium.
The national team of Ukraine only thanks to the incredible coincidence passed the qualification for Eurobasket. “Blue-yellow” for the eighth time to perform in the final stage of the continental forum.
Bookmakers predict Ukraine ignominious departure after the group stage. This is not surprising: without a naturalized American, representatives of the NBA Lane and Bolomba and Gladyrya, Mikhailuk and Fesenko team Evgeny Murzin in the background of the opponents in the group stage frankly looks weak.
