Ukraine has banned the movement of trucks on hot days. The restriction will operate during the summer.
This was reported by the press center of the State Agency of automobile roads of Ukraine.
From 10 am to 22 PM if the air temperature exceeds 28 degrees, drivers of trucks should not travel on trails and roads.
“These measures are necessary to ensure the safety of drivers and preservation of Ukrainian roads. Because high temperature and heavy weight cargo result in the greatest destruction of asphalt concrete pavements: the roads formed a rut, flows, landslides and other deformations”, – stated in the message.
The asphalt surface is 15 degrees higher temperature. Because of this, heavy vehicles can easily damage the road.
Total amount of losses, which cause an unscrupulous truck drivers, annually reaches 3 billion hryvnia.
