Earlier, the Ministry had a claim concerning the right of priority of redemption of the first lots of frequencies in the 1800 MHz band.
The Ministry of justice of Ukraine has signed the tender procedures for the introduction of 4G communication, wrote on his page on Facebook President of mobile operator Kyivstar Petro Chernyshov.
“And yet, the news of the week – the Ministry of justice signed the Order of carrying out of the tender for 4G. And we’re one step closer to the rest of the world,” he wrote.
The press service of the National Commission on regulation of communication and information Лига.net stressed that this decision has not yet entered into force because it has not yet been published.
Earlier, the Ministry of justice has refused to carry out the state registration of the procedure of tenders for radio frequencies, which market participants feared that the contest for the introduction of 4G in the 1800 MHz band may not occur or would be postponed.
As reported, on 4 July, the Cabinet agreed on the minimum cost of licenses to run communications for 4G in the 2600 MHz band at the level of 2.3 billion UAH. On 9 August it was agreed to conduct the 4G auction in the 1800 MHz band with a minimum price of 4 billion UAH.
The two tenders planned for later this year.
