To give Serbia the Northern part and the other to provide significant autonomy
Kosovo should be divided between Albania and Serbia.
Such a proposal was voiced by the foreign Minister of Serbia Ivica Dacic in a article for the newspaper Novosti.
According to him, the Serbian policy on Kosovo “has failed utterly”, and his proposal is based on “the desire of Serbs to anything”.
Dacic suggests, in particular, to give Serbia the Northern part of Kosovo, whose population is represented mainly by Serbs. The Serbs remaining in other parts of Kosovo, Albania should, in the opinion of the Minister, to grant considerable autonomy.
The Republic of Kosovo was formerly a part of Yugoslavia (later Serbia). In 1991, Pristina announced the establishment of an independent Republic in the country, clashes between supporters of the Department and government forces. In 1999 in Kosovo was introduced by the NATO contingent, and the country came under the control of the UN.

Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008 and was recognized in more than 100 countries. Serbia and Russia (as its ally) do not recognize Kosovo’s independence and block the entry of the Republic in the UN.
