Canada is one of the largest partners of Ukraine in the world arena. This broadcast CBC radio said the defense Minister of Canada harjit Sajjan.
“In support of Ukraine a better partner than Canada – not to find,” said Sajjan.
He noted that cooperation between Ukraine and Canada is not only limited to military aspects, but much broader.
“Our operation UNIFIER was extended. We corrected the exercise to make it more flexible and more responsive to the needs of Ukraine. Now it works wonderfully. We have signed an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of defense, created a free trade zone and many other”, – said the Minister of defence.
In early March, the government of Canada announced its decision for two years, until March 31, 2019, to continue military training mission UNIFIER in Ukraine. In the framework of this operation, about 200 canadian military trainers from the year before conduct classes with Ukrainian servicemen.
