The Minister of defence of Georgia Levan Izoria has cancelled a visit to Ukraine on Independence Day in connection with large-scale forest fires.
The last two weeks in several parts of Georgia sparked forest fires, in the fighting involving the military. Therefore, the Minister of defence of Georgia Izoria did not consider it possible to visit the celebration of Independence Day in Kiev at the time, as his Department fights fires.
Recall that the celebration will be attended by the Minister of defense, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Montenegro, which have already arrived in Ukraine. Also on Thursday morning, August 24, expected arrival of the Minister of defence of Poland, Moldova, Turkey and Deputy Minister of defence of the United Kingdom.
