The media learned about the plans of Russian companies to burn excess oil.

Oil companies in Russia can start to burn oil under the agreement, OPEC+ reduction of production. Under the deal, with may oil production in the country should decrease by 23%.

LUKOIL, the second largest producer in Russia, plans to close several fields in the Komi Republic in subsidiary company “LUKOIL-Ukhtaneftegaz”. “Slavneft” (subsidiary of “Rosneft” and “Gazprom oil”) may close the fields in Yugra.

At the same time, as noted by a leading expert of the national energy security Fund Igor Yushkov, a part of the reserves may be lost. First of all can suffer areas in the Volga region and Western Siberia.
