The mayor of the Mexican town of Las Margaritas was tied to a truck and dragged through the streets

MEXICO city, 9 Oct. /TASS/. Jorge Escandon, head of the administration of the municipality of Las Margaritas in Chiapas, in southern Mexico, on Tuesday were injured in a clash with local residents. The peasants tied the officer with a rope to my truck and dragged around a few streets until they are stopped by the police.

This was announced by the radio station Noticias MVS.

The reason for the conflict was the dissatisfaction of citizens with head of municipality. We know that he promised them to build a road, but did not do so despite numerous requests. In clashes with the police in Las Margaritas has suffered at least 11 people, and about 30 farmers were detained.
