“Brutal and shameful” policy of U.S. President Donald trump should be the reason for the cancellation of his state visit to Britain, said the mayor of London Sadiq Khan.
“When you’re close with someone, you have a special relationship, you go through life side by side, but if someone is wrong, you need to point out to him that. The prohibition of entry for citizens from seven countries, predominantly Muslim, is cruel and shameful,” – said the mayor of London.
According to Khan, such actions trump is a good enough reason “not to spread out the red carpet”.
On 20 February, the Parliament of Britain has to discuss the visit of Donald trump to Britain at the invitation of the Queen.
Earlier, the British government has officially rejected an online petition calling for the abolition or reduction of the importance of the state visit of the President of the United States Donald trump in the UK.
