The Russian Federation has extended the response to Western sanctions until 31 December 2018.
This is stated in the decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
In the explanation to the decree States that Russian counter-sanctions against the West were extended “to protect the national interests of Russia in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation in the framework of the laws “On security” and “On special economic measures”.
We will remind, on 28 June, the European Union officially extended for 6 months the economic sanctions against Russia.
Note that yesterday the U.S. Senate has supported the tightening of sanctions against Russia for the annexation of Crimea, support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, as well as hacker attacks to servers of the democratic party USA before the presidential election in 2016.
