The leader of the self-proclaimed DND Alexander Zakharchenko, who announced on July 18 about the beginning of the creation, together with pseudorepublic “LC” “state of Ukraine”, made a strange statement on the Volyn tragedy.

According to Zakharchenko, the Volyn tragedy occurred in the Belarusian village of Khatyn.
“As a result of historical development and due to the independence of the word Ukraine is forever linked with the names of Nazi collaborators Bandera and Shukhevych, with the tragedy of Babi Yar, Volyn massacre in the Katyn,” – said the leader of the militants.
Recall that Khatyn was a village in Belarus, destroyed on 22 March 1943 punitive expeditions in retaliation for the murder of several German soldiers.
