Information on the development of the draft law on de-occupation of the territories of Donbass rather aims to make sociological measurements. The document is not yet published on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada and the national security Council. There is an attempt to measure the degree of pleasure/displeasure of our Western partners, Russia, the Ukrainian population and political elite.
This opinion of the site “24” stated the Director of the analytical center “Politics” Nikolay Davidyuk.
As the analyst believes, the law should have been developed long ago. But it is very important that this law we have not legalized the occupied territory the status of “frozen.” According to the Davydyuk, we should not write the document which would satisfy Russia. However, first, this law should not lead to the escalation of the conflict, and, secondly, it should actually return the occupied territory.
If we play with the terms “occupation”, “the invaders,” etc., we will come finally to the definition of definition of what actually makes Russia to the Donbas. But will it help to return the territories? Therefore, it is very important that the actions of the Ukrainian leadership aimed not to anger the Russian bear, to flee to Europe and say that he attacked us. Because some members of government benefit from war. And it is necessary to write such a law, which would promote the liberation of the territories, — says Nikolay Davidyuk.
In addition, the expert said, we need concrete steps for reintegration of the population of the occupied territories. In particular, to deprive the Ukrainian citizenship to those, who with arms in hand fought against Ukraine. Legislation to regulate the issue of payment of pensions, social assistance, control over the Ukrainian-Russian border. Also to give all the inhabitants of these territories biometric passports.
