The Prosecutor’s office of Kyiv region gave the court an indictment regarding four people who were taken abroad the Ukrainians to illegal transplants of kidneys. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry.
Militiamen remind that two citizens of Turkey and two citizens of Ukraine from September 2015 to April 2017, through a global network of “Internet” looking for victims of severe hardship and persuaded them to sell a kidney.
“After the consent of the injured were taken to the Turkish Republic and the Republic of the Philippines for illegal operations, kidney transplants, promising to pay cash in the amount of from 10 to 15 thousand dollars, but people after surgery and removal of a body received significantly Menchu amount”, – told in Prosecutor’s office.
However, as noted in the report, the victims were not warned about the high health risks associated with the removal of a kidney.
The defendants could face imprisonment from 8 to 15 years with confiscation of property.
