The Kremlin reacted to Lavrov’s meeting with trump

In the Kremlin cautiously optimistic about the results of the meeting of the foreign Minister with the Secretary of state and President of the United States.

According to Peskov, the Kremlin cautiously optimistic about the results of the meeting of foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary Rex Tillerson and President Donald trump.

“Too early to draw any conclusions. Of course, very positive is the fact that conversation is had: and the President has already talked three times by phone…But at the same time need here, let’s just say, with cautious optimism for now, because ahead of a lot of work”, – said Putin’s press Secretary.

Peskov also commented on the statement trump that the implementation of the Minsk agreements rests on Russia. “As for Russia in General and the implementation of the Minsk agreements, we have repeatedly noted that Russia is not a party to the Minsk agreements, it is a country-guarantor, as well as France and Germany”, – said Peskov.

May 10 in Washington held a meeting with Lavrov Tillerson and trump. Tillerson said that sanctions against Russia will remain in force as long as Moscow does not cancel the action that caused them. Trump expressed his administration’s readiness to continue to participate in solving the conflict and stressed that Russia is responsible for the full implementation of the Minsk agreements.
