Peskov said that “Norman format” will not help to resolve the conflict in the Donbas.
Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov declared that the “Norman format” and to attract other countries will not help to resolve the conflict in the Donbas.
He said this on 9 October.
“Changes “on the ground” cannot be secured by forces of the countries participating in the channel or process of other countries, particularly the United States. Changes on the ground can be secured only by the parties to the conflict, which is what Kiev and the Donbass”, – said Peskov.
According to him, changes are necessary “political will”, aimed at solving problems instead of its discharge.
Peskov also commented on the recently held in Belgrade the meeting of US special envoy in Ukraine, Kurt Volker and assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladislav Surkov.
“As for the meeting, Surkov and Walker, took place the reconciliation of hours, exchanged views on the current situation,” he said.
