The Japanese “Piranha” will be a giant Queen?

Looks like we have the first image of the Mother Piranha from the upcoming film “the Summer of Piranha”which will be filmed in Japan this year.

On the picture we told you in March, when it became known that the creators spend the first auditions, and we even showed them the results. Apparently, the girls gathered to show support for the film project, and now we have a curious photo from the event.

As you can see, a couple of pretty Japanese women holding a poster “Piranhas in Japan”. Remember, this is the local name of the film, and in the international hire will show off what is mentioned above. However, if our localizers are still able to think logically, it is likely to use the original name. Although you can, as usual, to include creative, giving something like “My girlfriend is a bitch”, “How to tame a piranha” or even “the RAID 3: the piranha in the head”…

However, we digress. So, pictured above is the poster we see a couple of really healthy and toothy fish hanging over the city. Perhaps this is hyperbole, and maybe we still will show a giant piranha in the spirit of kaiju. Interestingly, even before this photo, slipped information that the film will appear a certain Mother Piranha, the creation of cyclopean size with the same huge teeth and an appetite. Reminiscent of the Alien Queen, right? Whether it’s a special kind of piranha fish, or one giant — yet unclear, but on the poster we see a couple, right?

In addition, there are several other posh news.

Roger Corman, the so-called king of the films in class B, which is tomorrow, incidentally, will turn 91 years, joined in the creation of “Summer of Piranhas” as Executive producer. And now he, along with another legend, the 77-year-old Chaco van Leeuwen (real name Hisako Tsukuba), looking for a suitable Director for the whole business. The budget currently stands at $ 3 million. By the way, Corman and Tsukuba jointly produced another “Piranha” in 1978. Well, you are, in short, understand the level of cool, Yes?

And by the way, cool old men — none other than Christopher Lloydstarring in the previous two installments of the franchise, will return in the Japanese version of the toothy horror.

Well, I admit, this project is starting to interest me. The gigantic fish, devouring Tokyo? Yes, their later Godzilla to push! In short, waiting. As the creators say, “the Summer of Piranhas” will come this year, though, oddly enough, in the fall.
