Takahiro Shiraishi admitted that the atrocities carried out independently. His first victim was a girl he met through Twitter. The man offered her assisted suicide, and then killed her boyfriend, who went looking for the missing girl.

Soon, the attacker killed seven women. Among his victims are four minors.
