The Israeli Parliament allowed the colonization of Palestine

This law was passed despite the UN resolution prohibiting the construction of Jewish settlements on the West Bank of the Jordan river.

The Israeli Parliament finally approved the law to legalize Jewish settlements on the West Bank of the Jordan river. The vote was held on the evening of 6 February. Of the 120 members of the Knesset voted 60 against 52.

The document legitimizes a few thousand Israeli buildings on Palestinian territory. The original landowners who can prove ownership, will receive financial compensation or other land, regardless of whether they are willing to give their property.

We will remind that on 23 December 2016, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution demanding to stop the construction of settlements in the Palestinian territories. Voted for the document 14 of the 15 members, the United States — abstained.
