As told in Department, the arrests were a continuation of the investigation of the activities of a group which engaged in the hacking of Bank accounts in 2013. The detainees are also suspected in the burglary of “critical infrastructure, including strategic industrial enterprises.”

The suspects were seized about 4.5 million rubles in cash. Only are 27 people, 19 of whom were arrested by the court decision. Defendants in the case charged under the article on the computer fraud and organizing a criminal community.
According to RIA news, the arrested hackers were related to the creation of the Trojan Lurk. This program is distributed as software for remote administration of computers used in banks.
