The fine for talking on a cell phone while driving should be at least 2-3 thousand hryvnia. This statement was made by adviser to the Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Shkiryak.
“If we talk about the mobile phone, it seems to me that it should be at least 2-3 thousand. And then there will be understanding,” — said Advisor to the Minister of internal Affairs.
The penalties for driving while intoxicated, according to Shkiryak, there must be tens of thousands of hryvnia.
“For the first time — 50 UAH TASIC and deprivation of rights at least a year, better three. For a second time should provide for criminal responsibility”, — he stressed.
Shkiryak said that the punishment should be inevitable.
“And then, when the first, second, third actually go for a time for drunkenness, when you start to pay for offenses drivers then it will work and will discipline drivers. In other circumstances it does not work” — he concluded.
