Several residents of new Zealand Coromandel has built an artificial island to the holidays to avoid the prohibition to drink alcoholic beverages in public places.
“The islanders” had consumed alcohol the entire new year’s eve.
Photos of the island posted in the local Facebook page Tairua Chat David Saunders, who, as he expressed it himself, “it was nice to see that new Zealanders know how to have fun.”
Police inspector John Kelly, of this idea called creative, he also added that if he knew about this island, then maybe he would have joined its builders.
It is noted that in Coromandel is forbidden to drink alcoholic beverages in public places during the Christmas holidays. For this you can get a fine of almost $180.
