The international monetary Fund (IMF) and Ukraine have agreed on the allocation of Kiev of a new tranche of $1 billion. this was stated by the head of the IMF mission in Ukraine Ron van Ore.
According to him, the IMF and the Ukrainian government reached a new agreement on the Memorandum of economic and financial policies, which allows you to start the third phase of the revision of the program of the expanded financing.
Final consideration of the transfer of the tranche should hold the Board of Executive Directors of the IMF in the second half of March.
The agreement with the Foundation also reiterated the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr danylyuk.
“We have reached staff level agreement with IMF on revision of cooperation program and the removal of a question on allocation of next tranche to the Board of Directors of the Fund. This is the result of Ukraine agreed with the IMF reform program and the joint coordinated work of the President, the government and the National Bank. We work further”, – , – Danilyuk wrote on his page in Facebook.
Program funding extended, for four years, was adopted by the IMF in 2015. Its aim is to support economic reforms in Ukraine and the preservation of financial stability. The total amount of funds allocated under the program shall be $17.5 billion To date, subject to agreement on the last tranche, the total amount remitted should reach $8,32 bn.
Recall, the IMF on March 1 sent the final version of the Memorandum on cooperation, the signing of which the Ukrainian side will allow the Fund to consider the allocation of the 4th tranche of $1 billion.
