Fans know that Kevin Smith is the man is very prolific and constantly coated with some projects. Unfortunately, not all his plans come true: the long-promised “Clerks 3”, it seems, will never see the light of day (due to the withdrawal from the draft actor Jeff Anderson), and the sequel “party-goers from the supermarket” can not find shelter on television. However, with the horrors of Smith somehow better. Most recently, he said that “Jaw of a Moose” is still in development, and even showed the art, which will probably be the teaser poster of the film.
Well, now suddenly it turned out that the project, about which we heard nothing for three years, alive, reworked, and even removed!
Talking about Christmas horror “Comes the Krampus” (Comes the Krampus), later changed its name to the”Anti-Claus” (Anti-Claus). The idea of this tape, Smith said in 2014 but then came the “Krampus” Michael Dougherty, and mixed him in.
Fortunately, the fat man does not quit, and took it and completely redid it into something much more original. Now the picture is called “there was a KillRoy” (KillRoy Was Here) and tells a very different character.
That said, Smith himself about the matter during a broadcast on Facebook Live last night:
We were going to make the movie about the Krampus, and then someone went and rented a movie about Krampus. Our film would be an anthology, which resembled a “Kaleidoscope of horrors”. Or to make it more understandable to modern children, “Kaleidoscope of horrors 2”. Well, or, say, “Black mirror”. So Yes, it is. It is an anthology. So, our film about the Krampus, which was called “Krampus is coming” and later became “Anti-Claus” — it was postponed. So we decided to recycle this narkomaniya scenario. We made it into another movie. However, we have simply changed the character of Krampus — the rest of the script is almost the same. Removed from it the elements of Christmas. And instead called it “was Here KillRoy”.
In case you do not know, “was Here Kilroy” (with one “l”) is a kind of meme during the Second world war. Perhaps he was born before, but in that period has become the most popular. It was a picture of the graffiti depicting a funny man with a long nose, which peered out from underneath, and supplied with the aforementioned phrase. Probably not know that originally symbolized this picture, and with the available versions you can find on Wikipedia, for example.
Well, Kevin Smith, it seems, made more creepy and crazy version.
It is known that in the upcoming film appears long-nosed monster, created by Robert Kurtzman, legendary special effects master, whose behind such films as the original “Predator”, “evil dead 2, Nightmare on elm street 3” and many others, including Smichowski body horror “Tusk”. In short, a very cool guy.
