This is a unique place.
Varanasi is not only the sacred river Ganga, rituals, sightseeing and crematorium under the open sky, is primarily one of the most ancient cities in the world, where from all over the world pilgrims come to wash away their sins, received forgiveness. But not even that makes it truly unique, and the atmosphere and the people living in it.
The work of the photographer Ashraful Arefina (Ashraful Arefin) is a perfect example. Visiting Varanasi in January of this year, he managed to stock not only the brightest impressions on the rest of your life, but also to capture the most juicy moments. His pictures could not be better convey the mood of the city, showing the true face of the sacred place where heaven and hell for several centuries co-exist in “harmony”, but life and death go hand in hand…
