Today in Kiev there was a fire in the building of architectural monument of the 19th century in Podil, on the street of Mezhigorskaya 3319.
The fire was liquidated in less than an hour. The cause of the fire is unknown.
According to former city Council member and social activist for the protection of monuments of architecture Elena Tereshchenko, the estate of merchant Vertiporoh very injured and almost completely burnt from the inside. This is the seventh fire in the building.
“I’m afraid, given its emergency status, this attempted destruction may be his last – you can remove the status of a monument of local significance,” wrote Tereshchenko, convinced that there was arson.
The last time the building burned in December of last year.
